01 / The house
The house of Cavani
Cavani traces its origins to 1988, when, according to its published account, four Italian designers brought their textile experience together. The house describes natural fibres as central to its approach to cloth.
In a fabric book, that broad idea becomes a personal choice. Colour, pattern and the feel of a sample begin a conversation between the wearer and the tailor.

The Quintessence
The Quintessence is presented by Cavani as a Super 150’s wool collection. Each page offers another way to consider the character of a suit, from the first impression of its colour to the quieter detail of its surface.
The Super 150’s designation refers to wool fibre fineness rather than the weight of the finished cloth. Yarn, weave and finishing also contribute to the way a fabric looks and feels—details best understood with the cloth in hand.
