A history woven through generations
Vitale Barberis Canonico traces its family’s textile history to a record from 1663, documenting Ajmo Barbero’s sale of grey cloth to the Duke of Savoy. Its own chronology marks the emergence of the Vitale Barberis Canonico name in 1936.
The name appears on books in Damanino’s library. Their pages invite a closer look at colour, character and the relationship between cloth and the suit it may become.

Dolcevita, in the details
The cover reads “Super 130’s Dolcevita”—a starting point for a closer conversation about wool and the character of cloth.
Super 130’s describes wool fibre fineness rather than the weight of the finished fabric. Yarn, weave and finishing also shape a cloth’s appearance and feel, bringing their own details to the collection.
