Good to know
Read the cloth,
not just the name.
A fabric book brings together a collection of colours and patterns. The name of a book alone does not tell you every detail about its cloth.
- Super 130’s & Super 150’s
- These numbers describe wool fibre fineness. They do not, on their own, tell you its weight, warmth or durability.
- Linen, cotton & tweed
- Linen has a naturally relaxed, creased character. Your Roberto Cavello book is labelled stretch cotton. Masaccio is a textured tweed collection. Fabric weight and garment construction also affect comfort.
- Occasion suggestions
- The suggestions in this finder are starting points. You can choose any fabric group, whatever the occasion.
- The final decision
- Ask your tailor to confirm the exact composition, weight and suitability of the fabric code you select.
