A closer look at Tulii
Tulii is a name in Damanino’s fabric library. Its book offers a place to begin with the visible and tactile details of cloth: colour, texture and the way a sample feels in the hand.
There is a quiet pleasure in comparing fabrics in person. A tailor can help translate those impressions into a garment suited to the way you plan to wear it.
02 / The collection
The enduring ease of linen
Tulii’s Pure Italian Linen book invites a different way of looking at tailoring: one attentive to the visible texture of cloth and to an ease that feels considered rather than casual.
Linen has a much longer story than any one collection. It is made from fibres in the flax plant; the Victoria and Albert Museum traces its use from ancient Egypt through centuries of European dress and into twentieth-century summerwear. It is a material with a long relationship to the clothes people live in.
